Troop 146 affords every scout the opportunity to earn requirements, merit badges, leadership and service time for rank advancement. Please reference the TroopTrack calendar to sign up for activities.
Each scout is responsible for maintaining their Scout Handbook, optional durable covers for protection, along with uniforms are available at the Council Scout Shop (12500 N. I-35 – at Parmer -- 78753)
Prior approval is needed from a Merit Badge Counselor before beginning work. Reference the Troop Website for a complete list of merit badge counselors.
Along with the Summer and Winter camp merit badge classes, our troop from time-to-time will offer additional classes to achieve specific merit badges.
Scouts must keep their earned merit badge cards presented with their award. This is an official record of achievement of the merit badge.
Scouts in need of rank advancement must sign up in the committee room for a:
Scoutmaster conference – meeting with an ASM or the Scoutmaster; and
Board of Review – in the committee room (after completing Scoutmaster conference).
Our troop holds a Court of Honor three to four times a year to recognize the scouts’ progress and present them with rank, merit badges and other honors that have been earned.
All family members are encouraged to attend. Scouts will receive a pin to be added to their parents’ neckband ribbon (troop will provide) for each rank they earn.
