Meeting Times (with exception of major holidays)
Court of Honor (Recognition)
Our troop holds a Court of Honor three to four times a year in the same location as the troop meetings to recognize the scouts’ progress and present them with Rank badges, Merit badges and other honors that have been earned.
All Family members are encouraged to attend. Scouts will receive a pin to be added to their parents’ neckband ribbon (troop will provide) for each rank they earn.
A required Boy Scout Handbook is the official record of rank advancement for each scout and should be brought to every meeting and campout. Protect your records by making periodic photocopies of your rank pages in the event the book is lost or destroyed.
For Scouts and Assistant Scoutmasters, the required uniform includes a Boy Scout Shirt with insignia, belt, neckerchief, slide, and socks. Boy Scout pants are required for older scouts (there is a previously enjoyed clothes closet in the committee room). Troop Class B T-Shirts are available for purchase in the troop committee room (dry wick material & recommended). More details on the uniform: https://www.scoutroom.net/wikipages/52
The Troop committee room may have a limited supply of scout handbooks, troop specific neckerchief, troop specific “class B” t-shirt (both adult and scout). The Council Scout Shop (Parmer & I35; 12500 N I35 78753) will have the Scout Handbook, optional durable covers for protection and uniforms.
Our Troop communicates through e-mail and announcements during Troop meetings. Additional information is available on the Troop website (you must be a registered member of the Troop to be able to log in). All troop activities are loaded into the online calendar and it is the official record for campout sign up. If email is not a viable option for you, please let us know and we will make other arrangements. Our Troop site is: www.scoutroom.net. Please reference the Troop Site Access page for more information.
